Lifesavers Gummies SourI see these at the 7-11 all the time. It’s one of those candies that I just don’t buy, thinking one day I’ll run out of things and those will be there for me to review. But more recently I was sick. A bad head cold and whatnot. You know how it is. Sometimes I don’t want a delicate chocolate that makes me pay careful attention to nuance. Sometimes I just want the texture burned off my tongue. I’m a huge gummi fan, don’t get me wrong. But I’m very happy with the plain old traditional Haribo Bears. Sometimes I enjoy the Japanese gummis, especially when they’re covered in chocolate. Opening the bag, it smelled like fruity shampoo. The bag holds five flavors: Strawberry, Tangy Cherry, Watermelon, Black Raspberry & Tangerine. Those who have been reading here for a while know which one puts me over the moon, Tangerine. (I used to love the single-flavor Tangerine Lifesavers that were once available and can now only be found in the Tropical Mix.) They’re soft and pliable gummies, sanded with a tingly sour coating. They’re larger than the old hard Lifesavers, a little larger than a quarter. The colors are a little hard to tell apart. The Orange, Red and Light Red all kinda look the same in incandescent lighting (years from now people won’t know what I’m talking about when incandescents are illegal and everyone has CF or LEDs). Smelling them didn’t help, but believe me, it’s pretty easy to tell them apart by taste. The Tangerine is wonderful. It’s tangy, it’s zesty, it’s fruity and just tastes like I should have some peels lying around when I’m done. Tangy Cherry, is well, a light cherry. I don’t like it as much as the regular cherry Lifesavers Gummies, but it’s okay. Strawberry is one of those odd flavors. I don’t want my strawberries to be sour. If you gave me sour strawberries I’d probably tell you to take them back to the grocery store and get your money back. These were also okay, but looked an awful lot like the tangerine, so I ate a few more than I wanted to by mistake. Watermelon is rather like Strawberry, it should be sweet and fragrant. Sour is wrong. But here I am, and not only is it sour, but it’s also green. It tastes just horrible, but the good news is that my husband thought this was the best flavor and has no problems rummaging through the bag and getting rid of them. Black Raspberry is also pretty intense. It has a nice jammy base, with some good tartness and then of course the wonderful floral raspberry flavor. These aren’t so sour that they ruin your mouth. Pretty much like Sour Patch Kids, but with a gummi base instead of a jelly one. By a strange coincidence I also tried the Lifesaver Gummies after another cold for similar reasons. Unlike many other Lifesavers products these days, these are made in the USA. Related Candies

I like gummy sour candy. It’s something I only indulge in maybe once or twice a year, but I will have to try these. I’m thinking my fave will be the watermelon. I’ve always loved watermelon flavored candies. Now and laters, bubble gum, Dum Dums… I can’t think of any more. (must not be a huge demand for that particular flavor?)
I hate eating chocolate when I’m sick, it just congests me even more. Probably the milk content. I always feel better after eating the tiny sweet tarts for some reason when I have a cold. Japanese gummies are amazing, especially Meiji. I love their chocolate covered strawberry gummies. I’ve tried all the chocolate covered fruit gummies in Japan and Meiji is by far the most superior in consistency, taste, and quality. I think the worst one is Logan (I think that’s the brand’s name). I’ll check next time I go to the store. Logan choco is so gross. Lotse isn’t all that great either. Melty Kiss is awesome choco though. If you get the chance try Melty Kiss Green Tea. The name is pretty much right on for that brand.
How funny, I *just* got back from Wawa and I had bought a packet of these, but in the Wildberry flavors.
Ooh I think I would love these! I used to love Sour Patch Kids AND Life Savers!
Ohh my goodness, I love these!
I love these too! They’re one of my absolute favorites, especially the Wild Berries variety. Mmmm.
Another tangerine fan! Have you tried the Altoid Tangerine Sours? (I tried doing a search on the site, but didn’t find a review) They’re really yummy - tangy, zesty fruity?
I love tangerine life savers! I’ll have to grab a bag of these, DD and DH can eat the rest.
i love fruity gummies! i will keep my eye out for those
Does anyone know why you can’t get hold of Lifesavers hard sours/Kickerz?
They were the best sour sweets ever.
I love gummies!I’m gonna start shopping for Japanese gummies.
Ya know, there are a lot of sour-coated candies that are very abusive. Take for example, the sour Skittles. Several of those and the roof of your mouth turns raw. These, on the other hand, do no such harm. Very enjoyable. Good for movies, except for the sound of the bag…...
These just aren’t sour enough for me. I think that “tangy” would be a more apt word to use (although I realize they already make somehting that’s “tangy”)
Personally, I much prefer, Life Savers Gummies, Wild Berry Sours, 7-Ounce Bags.
Its a better assortment of flavors. 10 on my scale. But harder to find.
The wildberry pack is waaaaay better!
I agree with the other people who’ve said the wildberry sours are the best. The mix of reds pack is also really good. It has cherry, strawberry, fruit punch, watermelon & red raspberry.
I loooove sour candy so it really wouldn’t matter what flavor they are
I’m very upset that the Lifesavers Mix O Sour Reds were discontinued. I reached out to the parent company and got no satisfaction. Please let me know if any of you know where to find these. My wife is afraid she will never have another.

No gummies sours wild berries, no mix o reds. Just the green bag which is inferior. I wrote to Wrigley but they don’t care. Who would prefer the green bag? Bleah. It might be better if they dropped the strawberry or watermelon for lemon. Tangerine, raspberry, blackberry, lemon and wild cherry…they need to make that.
I love I’m cleveland,TN and i would like to know who in the area sells the lifesaver gummie sours.
