Eat with your Eyes: Goumas

Goumas is an Ohio candymaker. They create local favorites like Buckeyes as well as classics like caramels and toffees made with fresh nuts.

The mint meltaways, even though they’d traveled all the way across the country were glossy and pristine.

  1. I saw this title on my rss feed and thought, “Surely not *that* Goumas!” As someone originally from their neck of the woods, that was quite a surprise! I remember going there as a child and getting little paper bags of lemon drops…

  4. Do not confuse…the REAL Goumas store is Goumas Candyland in Heath and on the Square.  I received something from the “other guys” and was not impressed to say the least.

  5. I got some truffles at the not-Heath location today, they were awful. Never again. I seem to remember Heath having GOOD chocolate in my youth, so I won’t give up on the entire franchise. I wonder how many calories are in six truffles…
