Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups are the most successful cup-based candy in North America (I just made up that statistic, but I’m pretty sure it’s right). In this episode Maria and I talk about the essential elements of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and their other product extensions.

A podcast on my all-time favorite candy.
Thanks for all the Reese’s info! For me, the original cup will always be #1. I think they created the perfect ratio of chocolate to peanut butter in that one (although once in a while I enjoy the extra large or holiday versions with a thicker PB center). The originals also have the best combination of textures with the thicker, ridged edge, the thin and slightly crisp top and bottom, and the soft center. For me, the ultimate candy experience is when you bite into a really fresh Reese’s cup, as your teeth crack through the top and bottom layers and sink into the aromatic, sweet, and slightly salty interior. YUM!
I never knew you used to be able to get cups directly from the factory, and now I’m mad that they no longer offer them!
