Sebastian - no, I just came back from a Candy Junket to Germany last weekend - so that will keep me going for quite a while. I’ll probably try to hit ISM once every other year.
Dahlia - how funny! I just visited Viba and saw them making the nougat. I didn’t make it to an Aldi when I was in Germany though, but I think our Trader Joe’s carries those around Valentine’s Day.
We received a box of Franco Candy Cane Chocolates. They are made in Seattle exclusively for Macy’s and boy are they good! I’m not even a chocolate & mint lover but these are awesome!! I will definitely search for these next Christmas.
Meticulously photographed and documented reviews of candy from around the world. And the occasional other sweet adventures. Open your mouth, expand your mind.

I received a mixed gift bag of Viba nougat: http://www.viba-sweets.de/produkte/nougat.html
Not very creative as a gift (I get one of these at least once a year from my brother, lol), but tasty.
And some of these milk chocolate truffles: http://www.aldi-sued.de/de/html/product_range/2744_23395.htm
They are nice, just a little too sweet for eating more than 2 in a row (they are also quite large, so 2 is enough.)
Got a few different kinds of chocolate…all very yum
