I can’t remember if I’ve shared this photo or not. This is a piece, because it’s milk chocolate, that I’d never had before last year. See’s calls it the Butterscotch Square. But it’s not square. They say that it’s Firm brown sugar, vanilla buttercream but it’s not a cream at all, it’s more of a grainy fudge type thing with lots of butter. It really is a pure blast of sugar.
Looks very appetising Cybele. Your photos are always so professional. I am very jealous.
There’s always a See’s Candy kiosk in the mall around Christmas, and oftentimes, they’ll offer free samples. I sometimes walk past it multiple times in order to get another one of these butterscotch candies; they’re literally one of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten.
The only milk chocolate piece I’ll purchase! They are very yummy aren’t they? But they are extremely sweet. (Another reason they should be enrobed in dark chocolate…)
I love love love See’s, and this is my absolute favorite piece. Yeah, it’s basically pure sugar, but somehow has just enough of a salty hit to keep it from becoming cloying. Plus I really dig the texture.
YUM. We don’t have See’s where I live, but as luck would have it, I am flying to California on Friday. I am going to have to get one of these.
I love these so much. It’s like eating a lump of brown sugar.
I happened upon a See’s factory/store while driving around L.A. last year and I was in HEAVEN. I’m going to San Diego in August; do they have any stores there??
Almost anything See’s makes is delicious. Try the dark chocolate nougat; it’s my favorite.
@Jonathan, See’s is all over the place in San Diego (and there’s a factory store in SD, too!)
My absolute most favorite piece of candy ever.
