I visit my boyfriend who lives up near Toronto a few times a year and pick up whatever unusual candy I can find up there. Canada gets a lot of limited edition stuff the US doesn’t, plus they have stuff made by brands we just don’t. Cadbury reigns supreme in Canada, and I have to say I always stock up on their Hazelnut bars when i’m up there. Oh, and Cadbury mini eggs.
They also have a large Asian community, so adventuring to the Asian markets (despite the gawking) is a regular thing for me to try out some wacky Asian confections and candy. (Oh Meiji, how I miss you so…)
Oh yes, and I am addicted to chocolate. So much so that I get grumpy without it if I go too long without a fix. And after having had some European imported stuff, i’ve been spoiled off against liking most American chocolate put out lately. At least, in my lower end price range. Bleh for fake chocolate and disgusting, “sweet” dark chocolate.
