I’ve seen the new Dots Elements at Vons grocery stores in LA. They were in the “seasonal” aisle near the s’mores stuff when I found mine.

My guess is they’re in other grocers around the country. Do tell if you see them!

Wisconsin Candy Dish found them (no review yet) but here’s a picture of them:

Pretty striking looking boxes.

Von’s is part of the Safeway chain, so it’s a pretty safe bet that they have them too.

I’ve found them at a store in the Seattle area.

The ‘Earth’ ones… really didn’t taste like pomegrante. They really didn’t taste like anything at all.

‘Water’ was nice… I could actually tell they were lightly green tea flavored.

‘Fire’ was the best so far… but my complaint is that there were regular dots in with my cinnamon dots so the whole time I was eating and thought that a random one just wasn’t flavored enough… turned out to probably be cherry or orange… I don’t know for sure because I didn’t discover it until I was almost done with the box and found a dark green lime one.  If I remember correctly… I’d have to say in all honesty that the cinnamon flavor was nice… but I suspect that my box was only 50% cinnamon. There were too many times that I thought the dot was fruity.

I haven’t tried the ‘Air’ yet… Hmm… I think that might be this weekend’s candy adventure then…

Okay…

So I’ve returned home with my DOTS Elements… AIR…

And I have to say I’m disappointed.

I was really expecting a nice minty… wintergreen flavor from them.

But there’s not really any…

There’s color variation… making me suspect that these have somehow been mixed with a blue fruit from the tropical mix… But as of yet, I’ve not been able to tell if there’s a difference in color which means a difference in flavor.

Nope. Doesn’t appear to be much flavor of anything in these…

So…

My opinion…

Cinnamon is the best… when you’re getting one that’s actually cinnamon… LOL

Green Tea is second because that actually tastes different than anything else but the other two should be passed on…

I’m still not sure what to think of them. I liked the wintergreen, anything stronger would taste too much like a mint to me. The green tea just tastes like soap.

See…  That just tells me there might be a consistancy problem.

I didn’t get ANY minty flavor at all in any of my DOTS… And I did manage to eat the whole box yesterday. LOL

I wasn’t eating or drinking anything else. I would have thought that there would have at least been one that tasted like mint.

The review on that other site said that they tasted like the Mike & Ike Ice candies… I didn’t have any flavor at all.

I may need to do a more random sampling.
