Forty years ago or so I remember my grandmother having some pink tablet candies for us to eat. They were like pink necco wafers, I think, but thicker. I sort of remember them like being the size of a Rollo, but that’s hardly possible.

I don’t know if they were just a local thing here in Southern California, if they were some generic candy, or if they had a real name, but I’ve been going nuts trying to remember what they were called.

I can’t even swear to them tasting like wintergreen.

Does anyone remember these, or have I truly and finally begun losing my mind?

Do you mean these things?

They’re called Canada Mints but maybe there are other local versions. They’re pretty thick, but not quite the same size as Rolos.

Wow! You’re fast! And, I suspect, right on.

Those might be them ... I’m almost sure of it. They certainly fill the requirements. The Canada name doesn’t hit me as hard as I’d expect, but the only name I could think of was Paas, who doesn’t even make candy!

And, like I said, the Rollo size was an impossibility right out of the box, but these look about right. The saddest thing, of course, is that I even commented on that review and *still* couldn’t remember them!
