I’m gutted that this is discontinued! Does anyone else miss it, or have any information about why/when/where to find now? Oh, the humanity. I loved this as a kid. First Bonkers, now my beloved Tangy Taffy… without thee I may never have had a cavity

I miss it too! Laffy Taffy just doesn’t cut it.

What kind of candy is Tanky Taffy. I`ve never heard of this one in germany

It was a brand of taffy made by Willy Wonka that has been discontinued. Tangy Taffy was a long thin rectangle of taffy that usually came with sparkly bits of colored sugar on top. It was a little bit sour, more so than salt water taffy, and came in a variety of fruit flavors like cherry, grape, watermelon, etc. It was completely artificial and unhealthy, I’m sure, but sooo good.

I agree, LT is ok but too sweet when compared to the TT. Just not as fun to eat. As I recall, the TT really made my mouth water from the tang!

Wow, I actually forgot about Tangy Taffy until I read this. I always seemed to get it in birthday party goodie bags. I loved it as a little kid, but I’m not too sad it’s gone. I don’t think I could get myself to eat it now.

Tangy Taffy is still around under the Laffy Taffy name.  I believe it is marketed as Stretchy Tangy Laffy Taffy.  I actually bought one for a co-worker over the fourth because they can still be hard to find here in Iowa.  I picked up the watermelon which had the little candy “seeds”.  I’m actually beating myself up for not buying myself one.  If you go to the wonka site they have them listed.  I think they are a little more narrow than they used to be but a little bit thicker so I’m guessing you get the same amount of candy.

Hi Tangy Taffy Fans.  I just bought 3 boxes of Strawberry Tangy Taffy on amazon.  $14.99 each.  I don’t like the stuff but my brother loves it
