I saw a new Marshmallow product at Walmart called Baby Binks.  The package says they’re made in China - does anyone know anything about the product and what kind of safety inspections they undergo?  Thanks.

The most recent contamination issues have revolved around foods that used milk products that contained melamine. The other issues have been with high lead content in products (non-food).

For the most part Chinese products are safe. And American-sourced stuff can also have issues (though it’s usually easier to trace) too.

I’ve been shying away from Chinese products, unless it’s from a big company that I have a bit more confidence in.

If you’re worried, you might want to write to Walmart, just to check.
