Does anyone know if After Eights have been discontinued in the US? I had a craving for them a while back and went looking, and, of course, can’t find them anywhere. I’ve looked in various grocery stores, big box stores, & drugstores… nothing.

Did I miss some information somewhere, or am I just super unlucky?

I can’t say with complete certainty, but I have noticed that they are no longer listed (or at least I couldn’t find them listed) at nestle.com any longer while After Eight are prominent on the nestle.co.uk and the nestle.ca websites. We always have tons of various After Eight displays in Supermarkets up here in Canada, but I haven’t seen them on any of my recent trips to Michigan or New York either so they may well have been discontinued in the U.S.

I believe I’ve seen them in Rite Aid.

I last saw them in Walmart. They’re often stocked near the large bar chocolates and those “100 calorie” variety boxes. I do find it’s around more during the christmas season - I saw them several places last christmas.

Hmm, I’m going to check Walmart again. Hopefully I just missed them. I’m not sure if we have a Rite-Aid around, but I’m heading to Jacksonville this weekend, so I’m going to try to check up there. Wish me luck and thanks!!

I checked at Rite Aid today and didn’t see them. (No Wal Marts in my area.)

I’d be sad to see that they were discontinued ... but I admit that I haven’t bought them in a few years.

I was at walmart yesterday and I thought to check… and the slot where they were is gone. Not a good sign… If they are gone, it must’ve been no further back than the new year. You might have to see what ebay has to offer on lingering stock.

These are on the Nestle USA site

here is a store locator search on where to find them

http://www.nestleusa.com/PubWhereToBuy/StoreLocator.aspx

but the after eights are listed as an import now so I guess they aren’t made in the US

I couldn’t find anything around here (Cincinnati)

Well, finally. After much searching high and low, I finally found my candy at Publix. Every other Publix in my town and the towns I’ve been to have not had it, but they recently built a new store near me and on a whim I checked the candy aisle and there it was. I darn near did the happy dance in the middle of the aisle. Bought 4 boxes and they are now lovingly stored in my freezer. The check out lady kept calling them Andes (which are fine, I like them, but oh so different) and i just shook my head sadly.

Well when you need a fix, let me know… several of my grocery stores have them.

I laughed when I saw this posted… I was just thinking about them the other night when I walked by them… about the fact that I haven’t had them in a while.
