I want a birthday party this year and I want candy. I want a candy center piece. Perferably big one. I know about those Giant Sugar Daddy bars and what not, but I’m talking a bouquette or something like that.

Any suggestions. (I am a big Snickers and Hershey’s Special Dark, but want variety. Plus to save a little $$, I want to try to make my own but am looking for more variety and good ideas for the not so popular candies that are around… (Well known more to say)

3 Musketeers (I’ve done minis)
Mounds Bar

Hello,

I am participating in a gift exchange for Christmas. I live in Canada, and my secret santa lives in Scotland. As I have never been to Europe, I am a little clueless as to what kind of goodies my Scotish buddy might enjoy. I am really hoping to get him something that is rare/not availible in Scotland. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From chatting with others, I have a few ideas. But I thought what better place than to ask the experts of sweets themselves. Please comment on the availibility/rarity of the following:

Reese’s Pieces
Reese’s Peanut Butter cups
Oreo Cookies
Hershey’s Cookie’s and Cream bar
Junior mints/caramels
Nerds candy

Those are just a few ideas, but then the people that suggested also said they were not positive that they were not readily availible.

Thankyou in advance!!

I’m not trying to dis candy companies, but I like the odd candies somewhat. Though with that thought I actually thought it would be cool to share odd candies we find. I think it would be kind of sweet. (No pun intended)

I’ll give you and example. Yesterday (1/14/09) I happened to come across a chocolate bar with bacon in it. First I thought it was a flavor, but apparently it has bacon in it. Though I almost bought it to try I went with three other candies.

(Lindt Postachio, and raspberry, and peanut butter pillows, a.k.a golden crunchies)

I did constitute one flavor of Ritter Sport because it said “New better tasting flavor”.... something along those lines. Though I need to look back at the review to that one.
