Starburst GummiBurstsIn that grand shipment of goodies from Mars last month I also got a box of these, Starburst GummiBursts. They’re a new product hitting the shelves in the US, described as Liquid Filled Gummies. They come in four flavors: Strawberry, Cherry, Orange & Lemon. The package also boasts that they have Real Fruit Juice! and Great Fruit Taste(r). I thought the package was a little light at only 1.5 ounces (a package of Skittles or Starburst are over 2 ounces for the same price). But then again, with the light caloric density, that makes a package only 140 calories. Inside the little medallions are a little larger around than a nickel. Each gummi has the juicy S on it and beneath that little dome of the letter lurks the burst. Biting into the firm gummi, there is definitely a thick flavored syrup center. The gummi texture isn’t as rubbery as some, it doesn’t have that bounce. The liquid is thick and tangy, but pretty much the same as the gummi, but in a different texture. The flavors, well, they’re the same as the Starburst chews. At first the goo center squicked me out, but I got used to it. But it never really did much for me. They’re a “moister” feeling gummi, but that solves a problem I didn’t really have. The flavors in the package, though consistent with what’s in a regular Starburst Chews package, just don’t seem to do much for me. They’re not quite tangy enough to get my salivary glands going, they’re just plain ordinary. Of course if one of my initials was S, I’d probably be more partial to these. These were announced by Mars early this year, but I’ve not seen them on store shelves and can’t seem to find them anywhere online. The package says that they’re gluten free. They do contain gelatin (of indeterminate origin) and are unsuitable for vegans. Related Candies

Maybe these will have that special appeal to me since I do have S as an initial. I’ll keep you posted.
“squicked out”, eh?
They seem to remind me of the Gushers fruit snacks I used to eat when I was a kid! I wouldn’t mind checking them out:)
So….they’re Gushers, but without the different flavored filling. :/
question-what exactly is “squicked”?!
they are basically a nwe virgin of Gushers.
if they are better than Starburst i will be buying them
I would have loved those about 20 years ago. Now that I’m older, I’d just get squicked out, too. I LOVE THAT WORD! I’m going to use it every time I step in a puddle.
awesome! i’m glad i know about thoughs
These things are awesome. I found them at food Lion. best candy ever, at least for me!
i love starburst its like the candy of the decade
They were juicy enough inside for me but there wasn’t enough orange, (strawberry) and lemon candies and too many (dark) red candies (cherry).
i totally know what you mean about you being “squicked out”...my friends dad works for mars and he went to some convetion and got a package and brought it back for us…the goo is a little shocking at first
Is it ok for this website to use your photos did they get your permission to do so??

this is just one example i have seen a little more..
Peg - that’s funny, I was just playing with some the other night and had to open two bags because my “random” assortment didn’t include any lemon. (Regular Starburst used to be random but now have definite equal ratios for each flavor.)
Sam - I had a similar feeling about liquid filled gum ... which is kind of odd because I don’t think anyone has a problem with dry fillings.
anonymous - thanks for the heads up! Candy Warehouse and I have an agreement for photos, so it’s all in the clear! (Doing candy photos on the side is one of my secrets to getting a hold of candy before it hits the market.)
I loved these Starburst Gummies, my husband and I buy them almost every day at our Speedy’s gas station here in Missouri. We can also buy them in a small 1.5 ounce bag at Wal-Mart for 54 cents. I wish they would make a bigger bag!
THE GUMMIBURSTS ARE THE BEST THINGS THAT EVER HAPPENED 2 ME. ONE DAY I WAS SITTING AT SPUDS AND I GOT BORED SO I WALKED OVER 2 DOLLAR GENERAL. I WAS LOOKING AROUND AND HAPPENED 2 NOTICE THEM SO I PICKED THEM UP AND THEN CHECKED OUT. I TOOK THEM BACK 2 SPUDS AND EVERYONE WANTED 2 TRY SOME. THEN EVERYONE STARTED WANTING SOME. THATS HOW I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found a bag of “Chocolate Mix” M&Ms;.
They come in two mixes, Dark Chocolate (purple), and Chocolate S’More (black).
Does any one know where i can buy these in a big bag. They are great while out for my toddler. it keeps him quiet while im trying to do work or grocery shopping. And i like them too.!!
Spotted these in a big bag at my local CVS recently, and I’m seeing the small pouches fairly frequently now in convenience stores and drug stores. Looks like they made it past the test stage!
I’m hooked on these.
I tried these at a movie theater and was dissapointed at the lack of lemon in my package. Don’t they realize by now that most people prefer lemon starburst? But otherwise, I really liked this product.
I’m eating these right now, so I decided to read a review of them. They’re pretty tasty, except for the cherry doesn’t taste quite right and I usually love cherry.
I bought a large bag of GummiBursts at costco in Manassas,Va. I when’t back for another large bag and they were out . I shared them with my daughter & grand daughter and we thank there awesome. we all love them. Iam still looking for the large bag. Please get them into the store’s soon as possible.
Thank’s
Jodie
Just had some of these in the Sour variety - Sour Strawberry, Watermelon, Green Apple, and Orange Tangerine. They have that typical sour sanding sugar on the outside, otherwise the shape and appearance is the same.
Pretty good, especially since I tend to favor sour candies. However, is anyone sick of companies sticking a little bit of apple juice (it’s always apple or pear - presumably the cheapest?) in something and making a big deal out of it being made with “real fruit”?
I am a candy person. I went to Toys ‘R’ Us and bought these. I liked them, but personally I would only reccomend it to those who aren’t in the mood for sour and those who like gushers.
i think sqicked out meat to be sicked out
I LOVE LOVE LOVE sour gummiburts!! its my favorite candy now!
i am used to gummiebaers from germany, but gummiebursts are the best. thank you.
they remind me of the brachs hi-c gummi fruits that i can’t find anymore
FOUND IT! mmmmm.starburst gummiburts bursts in my mouth!
they are my favorite candy :D
Ok… I bought a pack yesterday and something was wrong with one of them. The majority tasted ok- my comments echo those of the folks above. A nice gummi product. But one of the candies… Something was really wrong with it. I contacted the FDA and filed a complaint, I contacted the company and they are sending me an envelope to mail back to them the unused portion of Gummies.
Here is what I wrote to them:

I bought a pack of these Starburst GummiBursts Liquid Filled Gummies today.
As I bit into one of them, the taste was terrible- a chemical-like taste that made me gag and spit- I think there is really something wrong with this candy. It’s not just that the flavor was bad- this tasted like- what?
Bleach? Ammonia? I mean- I have never tried Bleach, Ammonia, or nail polish- but to me this was like… Acetone?
It was disgusting. I spit it out.
I have the packaging, the bitten gummy, and the remaining few. Most of the package was fine- but when I got to this one… My tongue still hurts.
Really.
The package says on it:
Starburst GummiBursts Liquid Filled Gummies
25 OCT 10 006
943 GP5FP 0241
(It may be GPSFP- that may be the number 5 or the letter S- I can’t tell on the wrapper.)

Hope you do NOT have this experience, but I wanted to share it with you all.
