Candy on the Trail

Yesterday my husband and I took the day off of work and went to Santa Catalina Island. We passed straight through town (well, we grabbed a cup of coffee) and headed up to the Botanical Gardens, looked around the Wrigley Memorial and then hiked up to the top of the ridge.

What powers me when hiking? Besides a fig bar before starting, we munched on Goetze’s Caramel Creams and Swedish Fish, then at the top, at 1,100 feet we ate a BT McElrath Salty Dog Bar.

Don’t worry, all we took were photos, all we made were memories and all we left were footprints.

  2. Everyone should have Swedish Fish when they travel. And when they’re at home, doing nothing. And just about anytime, actually. Swedish Fish are GOOD.

  3. My new non candy but just as good as treat for the trail for chcoaloholics are
    CHOCOLATE LITTLE BITES MINI WHEATS.
They are bite size, chocolatey, sweet and good for you energy boosts with their 100% wheat content. They have a big bite of chocolate and a dash of powdered sugar coating for the sweetness make a delicious combo for the trail.
