Limited Edition 3 Musketeers Marshmallow
The banner across the bottom of the logo says that this is Whipped Up, Fluffy Chocolate with Marshmallow Taste. I don’t think they come in a full bar format, just this package of Minis. The bag weighs 9 ounces, but looks like it has a lot in it, probably because of all the teensy wrappers.
Mars thinks it can get into the marshmallow game. Actually, they’re not getting into the marshmallow game, they’re getting into the marshmallow flavored game. The one thing these have going for them is that they’re safe for vegetarians. There are egg whites in there, so it’d have to be lacto/ovo vegetarians. And those vegetarians would probably be better off never having tried a real marshmallow, so they won’t be quite as disappointed.
The pieces are tiny squares (almost cubes) - about three quarters of an inch at the base and a little over a half an inch high. They’re milk chocolate, though the chocolate coating is so thin it’s translucent in spots. The center is light and fluffy, though not quite foamy like marshmallow. The over-riding flavor is salty for me. There’s no malt to it and really no vanilla, so I was left with something that was trying to be less sweet but not quite succeeding. Though the salt covers up the sweetness on the tongue, it doesn’t disguise it in the back of my throat where it burns. Plain marshmallows are airy and not quite sweet and are usually a generic vanilla flavor. These are just sugar flavored, I got no vanilla notes in there, and no toasted notes either. Personally, a regular 3 Musketeers bar needs more flavor to please me. I even rechecked my 3 Musketeers opinion by eating some Minis side by side with the marshmallow version - there’s not enough cocoa or malt flavor and the texture is just too underwhelming. If you’re the kind of person who thought the classic needed less flavor, this is the candy for you. The packaging says that 1 mini has only 25 calories, so it’s pretty easy to parcel out a portion of 100 calories. It also says that there’s 45% less fat than leading chocolate brands. Well, the calories per ounce are 124 by my calculation, so that’s more than a York Peppermint Pattie (113 per ounce) but less than a Twix (140 per ounce). I prefer both when it comes to taste. Commenting is not available in this channel entry.I had no idea these were available. They don’t sound great, but I think I’ll still try - with significantly lowered expectations.
The marshmallow nougat is the same as was used in the Snickers Rocking Nut Road bar a couple of years ago. And they don’t come in the full size bar format, only the Minis. I think I would have liked a full-size bar, if only because it would be easier to review.
I picked these up a couple of weeks ago. I love marshmallows and like 3 Musketeers (especially frozen), so win-win. I haven’t done a side-by-side, but they don’t seem all that different than regular 3 Musketeers. Lacking a little in the cocoa flavor, now that you’ve mentioned, overall they were rather underwhelming and certainly weren’t what I was expecting.
Found these at walmart at half price, not very good, no flavor really. Also those rocky road snickers sure did come in a regular size bar as I bout them and liked them a lot. Big Lots had them for awhile after they where gone everywhere else
I would like to know if these can still be found anywhere.

I have read the reviews and notice that some people did not like these 3 Musketeers Marshmallows. I respectfully and heartily disagree with them. I thought they were wonderful and delicious. I ate one bagful, and then discovered that they were seasonal, and there were no more to buy. I have been waiting for almost a year to buy some more. I hope the company sells them this year. I wish I had bought several bags last year - I will buy lots of bags this year, and hope they stay fresh for a long time. I don’t know if they would freeze well, but I will put one in the freezer and check it out.
I just found out about your “New” Musketeers Marshmallow candies. Apparently they are just available at Easter time?
If you could please tell me where in my area - Greenfield, Wi that I could find them to purchase them?

These are my favorite candy ever hands down. I am depressed that they are seasonal and i want you to send me a bunch of bags so i dont run out since i cant seem to find them easily
They are very good and I got them at Walgreens. I don’t like the new 3 Muskeeters at all. I loved the old ones! It was my favorite candy bar and now I don’t buy them anymore. Don’t like the new center!

I think they got it backwards when they created this candy - A much better marriage of Three Musketeers with marshmallow would be a chocolate covered marshmallow flavored like the the light chocolate nougat in a regular Three Musketeer’s bar. And full size of course!
